Corsair HS30 Mic Not working with Computer

Hi all, 

 

I have just received my new Corsair hs30 and the mic does not work on my computer. The mic will work on an Iphone and will work on a windows vista laptop but will not work on my main computer.

 

Any ideas what's going on?

 

Specs for the computer it wont work on:

 

Cpu: Amd fx 8320

Mobo: Asus M5a97 LE R2.0

 

Graphics Card: Asus GTX 760

 

Ram: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16gb

 

OS: Windows 7 X64
