So just now i had trouble booting my PC and it took like 2 hours to fix yeah its done and over but what pissed me off was my system restore only had 1 restore file which was like.. 1 hour ago (didn't fix it) i remember creating restore points every 2-3 weeks my self incase something goes wrong and its an easy fix

so my question is

Why does my system restore only have 1 available option to pick from?

How can i make it hold more?

Can i make it automatically create a restore every few weeks or so?

Is there a way i can save my restores on a different drive (i have a drive specifically for backups for my other files)

Can't seem to find awnsers.. thanks guys!

it doesn't, you can set a few restore points. change your settings. I was just checking mine out and it has a restore point for every major installation I have done since new years. I just did a fresh install for new years so I am assuming those are the default settings. Win 8.1

Just search system restore on your rig and all the settings are easy as pie to find and figure out...was just dicking with it and its easy enough.  oh and yes you can store a restore point on any drive you have...has that option.

If you have Win 8/8.1 and the backup drive, I highly recommend setting up File History.

As far as restore points go, there should be option that says "show older" and you should see all of them you made. If you aren't seeing them, it is possible they were cleaned out by CCleaner or another similar program.
