Free Video Edit Software?

I'm going to be doing a few quick-ish video reviews and overviews on some of the newer and less-common pieces of my upcoming rig build, and need an editor program that is free (or extremely cheap- I'm only going to use this program maybe a dozen times ever), simple to use, and will give me all of the basic video editing options. I'm going to be using a point-and-shoot camera to generate a handful of simple YouTube videos, so it doesn't need to be extravagant or particularly feature-packed, just good enough that I can cut and edit videos relatively quickly and easily.

Windows Movie Maker? its free and probably fine for your needs.

VLMC. Never used it, but it's free and by the creators of VLC.

Openshot announced a windows port, maybe try that? Otherwise dedicate a partition for linux and use KDENLive.

Lightworks I believe has a free version.
