most of the games from kairosoft are amazing

i really enjoyed tower madness if you are into tower defense

the room was amazing but too short but they released the room 2 so i think there will be more coming from them

tower of fortune was innovating and fun to play

and if i remember well you can play all of those games with music on so that a big plus for me

I mostly use RetroArch (free) and PPSSPP (free) to emulate stuff, but worthwhile mentioning:

Undead Slayer (f2p) - feels like playing a top-down dynasty warriors game. The touch controls work nicely. Expect some level of F2P bullshit though.

Frozen Synapse (paid) - Solid turn-based tactics game (ported from PC) really a game for tablets - UI a bit too small for most phones - but I can just about manage it on nexus 5.

nb: all links are to Google Play.

There aren't many games that can keep my attention, and I'm a bit too aware of my economy to spend money on games for my Android, because I don't want to pay for something I'd most likely lose my interest in a week later. I do play a lot of battle gems though :P

These are 10 games that get my thumbs up on iOS. Most of these games (with a few exceptions) exist on android as well.

Flow

2048

Infinity Blade

Asphalt

Zombie Gunship

Jetpack Joyride

Fruit Ninja

Metalstorm

Tiny Tower

Pixel People
