A little upgrade...

As my Alienware (don't hate) X51 r1 cant really handel these newer games anymore with its bit weak 660 and pretty much no way of updating it,

im planning's of this new build('s) that may replace the X51

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/z7XZHx

Pretty good for a under 1800€ build in my mind.

The dark rock advanced is meanwhile replaced by the Dark Rock 3. if that's too expensive go with a Shadow Rock 2.

Get a SSD as mentioned. 128 GB is enough, 256 GB would be a much better price/GB ratio though.

1000W PSU is a bit overkill, a ~750W PSU would do niceley. 1000W is no mistake but you could save some money if you wanted.

The Graphics card is your choice, the 295X2 has a good price/performance ratio. Two 970s would do even nicer however, considering that the 295X2 throttles itself at 60 °C.

who cares...

If you strictly game, go for a 4690k, Dark rock 3, dual 970's and an ssd, and like a 750W-800W psu

1800€ is the budget and here where i live the 295x2 is cheaper than sli 970's and besides im happy with hdd's and might ad one ssd later on the road, 1000w psu isn't a much of a overkill bc its not that expensive in here too

Edit: Advanced c1 is enough for me, not gonna overclock too much with it and dark pro 3 is so big, dark pro 2 isn't available in my country (or rather in same store)

I would still go with sli 970 if you can.

I haven't checked how much it costs in Sweden but what's the price for you?

A smaller PSU would be cheaper which would justify the purchase of a SSD.

While i don't necessarily agree with your reasoning, i see why you are going the route you are.

Honestly though, trust me. An SSD makes a HUGE difference

649€ for 295x2

Hmm, I am pretty sure going the sli 970 would still be better, but I haven't seen any gpu showdown or something with them against each other.
