I joined about a year ago and the biggest thing I have noticed about this forum is the average age or the member. It seems to me (maybe i'm wrong) that there are a lot of 12-16 year olds. Immaturity leads to all the things OP originally stated. I am not saying it is a bad thing to have young dudes and dudettes on here but it for sure contributes to the 'hate' talk.

I would agree. I think the average age of OCN members is much higher than LTT members.

I have seen plenty of that.

Example:

Someone who wanted to sell his water-cooled computer asked how he should go about doing it, etc. And instead of giving him advice on his actual question, people were just questioning him why he got what he did and telling him that they were stupid choices and that he should just keep it, and stuff along those lines.

Every forum has toxic people (I know, I have been a moderator for another fairly large forum). The best way to go about dealing with them is always to report and ignore them.

Mods who actually react to the reports would help too. ;)

Moderators can sadly only do so much at a time. Many has work, school, family and such to take care of.

Pretty much 16 hours a day goes towards sleep and work/school. I assume that many moderators take 1~2 hours a day to look over the requests from the forum. And with ~15 moderators here on LTT, that makes it tough to deal with it all, sadly.

PS. Mods are asleep, post ponies.

To be fair, I think having any sort of attachment to a certain brand is a bit silly. Even the titans rise and fall. Gigabyte is a good example, sometimes they make a good board, other times they make a s****y board. Would I regurally avoid or buy from gigabyte? No. Depends on the price, features, performance, and reliability ratio.

Customer service is the only reason I can think of to buy certain brands and avoid others.

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.
