Hey guys,

My current rig is:

3770K

UD3H Mobo from Gigabyte

GTX 780 DCU2

TX850 PSU

Corsair H100i

Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Ram

800D

And, i really want to upgrade to:

4790K

Asus Maximus VII Formula (<3 <3 <3)

GTX 780 DCU2 (will keep the card)

EVGA G2 PSU

Custom watercooling loop!

Corsair Dominator 16GB DDR

900d

What do you guys think? I'm a gamer, but i really like building rigs as a hobby. Worth upgrading and spending 2,5k at this time or not?

So i better wait you think? Anything big coming up soon?

Broadwell is like soon, skylake also this year. Or if I had 2500$ I would get X99 build, that would actually get you some performance gains and a more powerful platform.

I bet Broadwell comes up first and Skylake afterwards. So i guess that i should wait for Skylake...since Boriadwell would be "outdated" when skylake comes out...both in the near future or?

Why not go for x99. it's still going to be more powerful than skylake.
