Looking to upgrade RAM

I am looking to upgrade the RAM in my build, i currently have one stick of 8GB and am looking to buy another one but am unsure if there is anything i need to look out for in terms of system compatibility or stability. My board has 4 slots and can go up to 32 gb and has dual channel.

Mostly gaming but am looking to do either streaming or youtube, either way using video editing, also i am going to school for engineering and use Autocad software.

8GB is fine for now to be honest.

Just try to get another of the same type to make sure it'll work.

They no longer sell my model of RAM from what i can tell, when i go to newegg, and look at my order history, it shows a different model than what i have. I am not sure if it is a different heat sink only but it does appear to have the same performance and is by the same company http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313419

If your previous RAM is working fine then try to buy the same frequency , same brand RAM. It is better don't interchange RAM.
