Hello, I have a mouse with a PS/2 output and I have an old USB cable. I was wondering if it was possible to splice the cables and solder them together. The cables have different internals and was wondering if this was even possible. And ideas?

I don't know if it possible, but why not go for a PS/2 to USB adapter?

Thanks for recommending the adapters, but I was just wondering if anyone has a schematic or anything. Because DIY-ing is fun!
