Hello all,

I have a GTX 550 Ti, a terrible card actually, I'll be upgrading as soon as the GTX 960 releases. A few weeks ago I was able to play BF4 everything low on a stable 60 FPS.

I completely reinstalled windows 7 about 2 weeks ago because I thought I had a virus.

Since then, my FPS is actually terrible. It's jumping between 30-60, extremely laggy. This started all when I did a clean install of windows. I run at 1920x1080.

I have an i7 860 @ 2.80GHz and 6GB RAM. I have the latest drivers, also tried a clean install of them with Display Driver Uninstaller.

I don't really get how this is possible, since I had good FPS before the reinstall.

I'll be upgrading soon, but I still want to know how this is possible.

Thanks

try downloading older Nvidia drivers, as far back as end of 2013. some 400-500 series Nvidia cards have the worst driver experience (in my experience).

http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-win7-winvista-64bit-314.22-whql-driver.html this one should work better (i hope)

Well the thing is, BF4 won't run on that driver. It gives me an error, then I just can't open the BF4 application anymore.

It says I need at least version 331.

Also, I don't want to buy a 980 due to its high price IMO.

Edit: it worked suddenly. It's better now, but my FPS is still jumping between 45 and 60, still way too laggy to play decent.
