I'm going to be building a micro Atx server, for minecraft (no more than 5 players, possibly modded), and to run my plex server so i don't have to keep my desktop on all the time.

This is what i've come up with so far, but i'm unsure on the CPU. I'm not sure whether to go for the pentium or spend a bit more and get an i3 4130.

I know the Pentium has far better single threaded performance, but the i3 has hyper threading. I'm not sure if this will make a massive difference.

And before anyway says go for AMD, i'm sticking with Intel because AMD chips are more power hungry.

Pretty sure you aren't gonna be running a modded MC server on 4GB RAM and a pentium.

Not sure about the pentium, will probably go for the i3, but 4GB of RAm is definitely enough. I rented a modded MC server a while ago with 4GB, and with 4 players we never went above 60% memory usage.
