Razer Orange switches vs Mx Browns

Doc X

Recently I got a Razer BlackWidow Stealth 2014. And this is my first mechanical keyboard (I had a Membrane keyboard). And i noticed that when you type, the keys are kind of mushy, a little hard to press. Has anybody had experience with a MX Browen keyboard and the new Razer orange swiches? If so are the razer switches harder compared to the browns or are they the same and i should get MX reds?

Yep they don't use anything standard like cherry simply for the sake of being different.

Have you had a mechanical keyboard before the razer one?

they did it to make more money afaik.

the new switches they use are some sort of kaihl knock off or something like that, they cost less and razer gets to make it sound like they innovated for once, making their fanboys want a new keyboard because it has colors and "razer gaming switches"

Sorry if this isn't relevant to answering your question but I absolutely hate Razer keyboard period.

No wonder when I feel mx blue keys on a razer keyboard, it feels different from a K70.

Since aside from the click the blue and brown should be almost the same. do you feel any difference aside from the click from the one you had before?

Yeah, this keyboard is way mushy, and the keyboard doesn't feel the same all the way across, like half the keys don't feel the same, and some of my longer keys wobble a bit.

Since you hate it so much why didn't you return it and got a K65, k70 ?

I got it for only $50 and currently have absolutely no money, so returning it would leave me with no keyboard at all

You know that Cherry has a Contract with Corsair to make Cherry RGB´s Corsair exclusive?

Logitech is the only one using Omron, the rest, including Steelseries, Razer, QPad, etc., is using Kailh switches for at least their RGB Keyboards, not because they want to, but simply because they have no other choice.

I don't have experience with the Kailh orange switches, but I can say that I hate the Cherry MX brown switches because I feel that they're so easy to press, and I press my keys with so much force that the tactile bump in the browns almost make the switch seem broken because the bump is just plain annoying and too small.

I find it hard to say the the browns are hard to press, but that's because I mash my keys. The reason I like reds is because I don't get that annoying ass tactile bump when pressing my keys, even though they have a very low pressing force.

If you're asking if you should get another switch, I would say yes, and get Cherry MX reds. But that's all personal preference

No they didn't. Cherry's patent for the MX switches expired so a company called "Kailh" started mass producing switches. This was also due to some switches from Cherry being in very high demand as well. Kailh are probably a lot cheaper to produce.

Omnron switches are for mice only IIRC.

Enjoy those tacos now, for in 1000 years they will be illegal... eh Ha Ha Ha! I think we all know why.
