This is an odd question but a valid one i hope.

I want to build a 'KAVERI' starter build, but i'm stuck between these 3 boards:-

MSI MINI ITX:- (as used in
)

MSI mATX:-

Gigabyte mATX:-

I know mini itx cases are expensive, however any advice on how to choose?

I'm not running crossfire or sli, this is not a build for that at all

How many PCIe slots do you want?

Though you may not be running SLI/Crossfire right now, will you change your mind in the future?

Do you want a small form factor PC?

CPU: 5820K GPU: Gigabyte G1 970 RAM: 16 GB Crucial Ballistix Mobo: EVGA m-ATX Cooler: Corsair H100i Case: Xigmatek Aquila PSU: NZXT 700W Monitors: 2 x Wasabi Mango (1440p)

Do you play Go/Baduk/Weiqi? I am AGA 4D.

If you only want 1 GPU go for mini-ITX.

If you want 2 GPU's go for micro-ATX.

And check Asus, it has nice stuff. :P

small form factor isn't a big thing its just a stater rig for myself,  i don't know how many i want, i doubt i'd run crossfire on a APU,

This is my first build, i want to build this and just use it then experiment later with liquid cooling over clocked, i like APU's and like how AMD are making them better.

please look at this build

Just need a decent case

I have none as i've never built before, so what would you suggest for this??

I would go with Asus for the best software experience, but Gigabyte is just as good

The Corsair Air 240 is a good option if you have the cash

Ok would you suggest going straight to watercooling? and is this case watercooling compatible?

If you feel you need to, otherwise the case is really good for air-cooling. Something like a 212 evo is just find.

even i am building a apu based steam in home streaming rig and i would go with the gigabyte one

To cut a long story short, i'm building this to run steam as my main pc till AMD come out with their better APU's later this year/early next year where i will decide if i build another AMD rig or Go to Intel, at the moment i really prefer AMD, and this PC will be my living room/streaming/Portable unit after i build a new one, so like a stater PC.

I live in quite a warm house as it's small and toasty so thinking a watercooling system seems more benifical

actually even i am building my in home streaming rig for the same reason for taking to lan parties and light very casual gaming in the living room... i am although using a a4-6300 apu since i was on a tight budget and wasn't going to run heavy graphical games on it directly,i would be going with a NT06-E from silverstone for cooling tough i found a used one for quite cheap on ebay

The r9 270 will be added later just wanted to know PSU sizing and turns out i got more than enough i got 600w need 340w LOL!
