Dominator Platinum "mod"?

Hey guys, this is sort of a how to, and sort of "how I did it" in one.

I was thinking of doing what @Rakior did in this build log: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/120478-hive-fire-watercooled-custom-800d/

 

 

I went to the store and got this sharpie:

Then I took my clear light bars, and colored all over them with the sharpie until every side was covered:

Then installed them!

Check out my build log if you're interested to see what's next, I'll be changing the LED's in the 970 G1's to yellow as well!

Nice mod Lays! I wonder if there is like a clear yellow paint that one could dip their light bars in and would allow them to glow a nice yellow.

Now all that is left to do is change the windforce logo. I think that would make your build look great!

 

 

There's a guy on overclock.net that's making custom LED PCB's from scratch for the wind-force cards, I'll be ordering two of them from him in yellow, then it'll be super nice :)

I don't like yellow, but i think this is awesome! The gray cables are great and they fit perfectly. 

Changing the Windforce logo is a lot more difficult, but still pretty easy do to. A friend of mine bought a G1 970 and i can't stand the blue color. I've actually watched how to change the LED color and i don't even own a G1 :P

It's extremely easy the way I'm doing it. I'm buying a full PCB, the thing behind the logo.  I'm just unplugging the PCB with blue LED's on it then removing that PCB, then plugging in a PCB that's the same size & shape, with yellow LED's on it.
