RAM selection

Hi all,

I am planning to build a gaming rig with below configuration

CPU : 4790k

Motheboard : asus maximus VII

Graphics card: GTX 970

RAM capacity : 8gb (max)

now the only thing that is confusing me is RAM

i am going for GSkill RAM but as per QVL for the motherboard

in this list, the second is listed in the motherboard QVL but the first one is not and i want the black memory module 

 

Also on intel's website it says memory type only ddr3 1333/1600

It should be ok.

pick any ddr3 memory you like and buy it

 

dont worry about intel spec or mainboard qvl

ALL DDR3 ram performs the same, (unless you're using an apu) if I were you, I'd get some corsair dominator platinums, because yolk.
