gta iv help solved

iv just built a new pc http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/bz2F3C and gta iv runs like crap and i cant change any of the graphics setting is a common problem on this game any help or tips would be grate .

using a 7950 or a 7970 right? 

Ill find the fix real quick

 

Edit: Didn't see your build at first. Anyway it happens when your gpu has 3 or more GB of VRAM.

right click on GTA4, select properties, then select launch options

copy and paste this into the field that comes up

-nomemrestrict -norestrictions

exactly like that,

the reason why its not letting you set anything is because gta4 only supported GPUS up to 2gb, so since yours is 3gb, it miscalculated how much ram was up for use and thinks you dont have enough, therefore enforcing this lock down on the graphics options,

that command line will bypass it"
