M.2 2x vs 4x

Hello everyone. I am finally getting around to building my new video editing computer and I have everything picked and most on order. I am a little unsure however about the storage solution I want to use. I am interested in using 2 M.2 ssd's (raid 0) but I am trying to decide if I want to buy the current 2 of the current 2x or use one of my tradition ssd's till the 4x become more readily available. I am not 100% sure I am understanding the way the M.2's work as far as bandwidth. I am going to be using an SLI configuration on the Asus X99 deluxe board with a 5960x. So I know that I will be running the cards in 16x/16x with a total of 32 of the 40 PCIe lanes being used. These are the same lanes that the M.2 draws from I thought so my question lies in whether or not 2 4x M.2 ssd's would have enough bandwidth with this set up. Any input would be appriciated.

You have 8 lanes left so ofcourse 2 4x M.2 SSD's w2ill work. Even if it meant a card going 8x you would still lose 0 performance because 8x 3.0 is not a bottleneck
