Hi all,

I want to plan an audio system out. Using my monitor's build it 4.5 watt speakers have been driving me crazy.

Here's what I need (I think?)

1) External DAC (I have a 970 SLI so no room for an internal sound card)

2) Some sort of hub to switch between a headset and external speaker system

3) A 7.1 surround (idc if virtual or true) external speaker system

4) A REALLY good headset (I've been looking at Sennheiser's HD series)

5) An entry level microphone

I would love some recommendations for all the things listed!

IMO, having used 4.1 and 5.1 systems before, they're kind of a waste. Decent 2.0 gets the job done. If you want to simulate surround, that's up to you.
