New SSD won't automatically boot but will manually boot?

DaZeDMoNk3y

Hey,

i recently brought a samsung 120gb 840 evo ssd. i have installed windows 8.1 on this SSD and formatted my HDD it was on previous. when i turn my computer on a blue screen will come up saying "Your pc needs to be repaired" and try another boot option. so i restart and spam F12 to bring up the boot menu and select the samsung SSD to boot from and it boots straight away with no problem and i can game away. i have gone into the bios and changed the boot priority and selected the default boot option as the SSD and still the samem result? what do i need to do?

it may seem the boot manager is not install properly during the OS install

when you install the OS

was the HDD plugged in?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Again, I see you posting in a forum and the post has something to do with an HDD. :)

you should be able to initial the recovery option for Win 8.1

use the above and select Repair your Computer
