oc gtx 970

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

It's luck of the draw how far you can OC it. To OC I would do this:

- Max out power limit slider

- Add about +20-25mV on the core voltage

- Put the core clock on 1500

- Put the memory clock on 7800

Run Unigine valley though all 18 scenes, then you could consider it stable but I would do 2-3 full runs of valley.

- If stable increase core clock/memory clock (Memory often caps out at 8000Mhz) until unstable

Rinse and repeat

hi I am a bit noob to oc only tride it abit on my 760 but whit my new 970 i relly want to get absolute max from my card

so what shuld i be aming for ?

and im abit afraid of turning the voltage up becus i her that it will shorten the life time of the card but by how mutch and if i want the same life time out of my card what is a realistic voltage?

ty for answers sorry for bad eng im from sweden :)

ty for the great answer but will adding 209-25  mV on the voltage shorten the life span of my card?

becous i'm planing hon having this card for at lest 5 years

A very mild overvolt will barely decrease lifespan but if you are not comfortable with it then don't do it. Try doing 1500/7800 on stock voltage with maxed out power limit

ok ty love this comunity

If you want to overvolt but still have long lifespan then try +10mV or +15mV.
