Gaming PC upgrade

Hello Linustechtips forum,

I am planning to upgrade my 6+ year old PC, as my RAM seems to be dying (memtest comfirmed it) and I feel like it's time to save up for a new rig

My current build is:
-Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H v1
-AMD Phenom X4 Black Edition 9950, 2600 MHz (13 x 200)
-OCZ Gold XTC OCZ2G8002G (2x2GB, 800MHz)
-Asus HD7770 1GB

-All the extras: 550W PSU, 2x 500GB HDD, CM HAF 930 case

I checked my local shop and ddr2 memory in 4 or 8 GB size is pretty expensive compared to ddr3 of the same capacity. Also my motherboard only supports SATA2 (3Gbps) which would limit me later when upgrading for an SSD for operating system.

My plan for new "base" system would be this:
-AMD FX 6350 6x3,9GHz
-Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3
-Kingston Hyperx DDR3 1600MHz 2x4GB kit (with blue cooler to match motherboard)
I would be using my old system but changing these 3 parts. Later changing to an aftermarket CPU cooler for a tiny bit of overclocking.

Currently I am using my system for one 1080p monitor, mainly for games like WoW and sometimes other games like Far Cry 4, Need for Speed, CoD etc.

The prices:
-Local store that I usually go to: 324 USD/90.000 HUF (no savings currently on these components)
-Amazon: 277 USD/77.000 HUF

Some extra questions:
-Any other motherboard that is good for this CPU/RAM combo? criteria: SATA ports must face to the side, not towards me (hate it!)
-Intel equivalent for similar price range? (max 350 USD)
-Also if I am going to find cheapest price on amazon, what do I do if something is broken or does not work?

i5 4690k one of the best for gaming. kingston fury recommended by linus as well. motherboard is overclockable and i trust msi. little over ur budget but i have the i5 and overclocking is a breeze and great performance
