I suggest you get a different mobo, 970 AM3+ is known to be kinda bad.

A 990FX is better.

Current rig: CPU: AMD FX-8120  Cooling: Corsair H100i  Mobo: ASRock 970 Extreme 3  RAM: 8GB 1333Mhz  GPU: MSI GTX 660Ti Power Edition  Case: Fractal Design Define R4  Storage: 2TB Seagate HDD + 128GB Crucial SSD  PSU: be quiet! 730W bronze

What games are you planning to play? I see nothing too bad with your parts selections but we could make a few compromises here and there to get a better overall build within your budget range.

Laptop - Asus TUF FX504GM

i7 8750H | 24GB DDR4 | GTX 1060 6GB | 128GB NVMe SSD | 1TB HDD

Peripherals

Logitech G102 Prodigy | Nubwo N12

I would suggest you get an i5 4440 or 4460 and get a H81 motherboard.

If you plan on keeping the amd get an aftermarket cooler and and a 990fx motherboard.

I want AMD because of the cores and apparently the 990fx is better so I will get that
