I have a network drive on another computer. However, I want to sync it to a harddrive I have on my computer. How do I go about doing this?

Synctoy works okay for most people. You can also give the Freecommander XE a try, I use it under Windows. Synctoy is your more basic syncing and the Freecommander has a few more features.

If you could not give a toss about interface you can also use rsync with cygwin. It does incremental synchronisation as far as I know and is pretty fast. You can automate this and all of the solutions in some way (be it task scheduler or in the options menu of the program). If you want to I can send you my backup script (basic one way, no deletion synchronisation).

All of those solutions are only syncing one state at a time, your daily backup if you want. If you want to do some live synchronisation with a smart device (nas or PC) you can use bittorrent sync. Although that has an impact on your performance.

I use BTSync extensively on multiple devices including mobile, FreeNAS server, windows, and macs. It works flawlessly about 95% of the time, but I wouldn't trade it for anything right now. The program does have its quirks and the feature set could be better (e.g. sync job prioritization), but it's a good starting location.
