You can get it over at http://www.shapeways.com/model/2843532/nvidia-shield-tablet-and-controller.html?li=shop-results&materialId=25 very reasonable price and solves many of the issues Linus had with it in his review. My first impressions are very positive, seems to support the tablet well. The material is very strong and flexible.

Hmm, it seems like a decent idea, but why not just buy the Shield portable at that point?  Well.. I guess you did?

The shield tablet has a bigger screen than the portable aswell as more power doesn't it? It have the all the functions of a tablet and it can be turned into a portable games console when necessary. Also I couldn't find an LTE portable in the UK.
