"Limited edition"

So I bought myself a limited edition Corsair Vengeance K70 Cherry MX Red Silver with Red Backlighting and was wondering how many of these are around, on their website they say "we made a very limited run of keyboards in Gunmetal and Silver"

They say that to make them sound special, but the reality is that Corsair has made a bunch of them(1000+ easily, probably 10K+, no exact number because nobody knows). I'm not sure if they produced a bunch at once or continue to make them, but these will still be more "rare" than the standard K70.

There are more than plenty of them around. Checked stock at a store here in Sweden. They had 100+ of them in stock between all of the different models (not counting RGB and K65/95, of course).

 

To be honest. I think the only reason why they called it a "Limited Edition" was because it was their first test run of different MX Switches. Instead only having the option of MX Red.

 

I wouldn't call it special in the slightest. I would call the two Ducky keyboards that I have Limited editions.
