Large ships for transporting crew?

I've been thinking a lot about boarding and ships in general lately, and I've been wondering; are there or will there be any ships that can carry 10, 20 or even 100 troops? Boarding will be quite difficult or impossible if you are in a ship with only 4 max crew. 

 

The constellation and large ships like those look like they could hold ten or more crew, yet the RSI site says they can only hold 5 people.

There might be a big difference between holding 10+ people and having 10+ crew.
I've heard Chris Roberts talk about taxi like services so in that way there might be alot more ppl on the ship than there is running it.

Oh so there is a difference between crew and passenger? Good to know

I believe that dedicated transport ships will be able to carry 100+ people. I know that Capital ships which are obtainable will by default be able to have hundreds of crew.

I'm not 100% but that makes the most sense to me looking at ships irl and even som ships in Star Trek.

You were right, it was bought up at some point on one of the shows I think but you can tell with things like the Redeemer that has a crew of 5 but seats for a boarding party of 6.

Boarding party of six + crew? Or crew + 1 boarding guy?

IDK what sort of limits they will end up imposing but if you look in the belly of the ship it has 6 seats, you then have the pilot seat, gunner seat and several terminals around which I assume will be manable so at the very least I would expect 7 people (6 boarding + pilot) able to be on board, probably more. There's also the Avenger with 1 crew but has 4 pods (if memory serves) for prisoners/passengers.
