A 970 can't drive a 4k display in most games.

most newer AAA games*

If you looked at all games, it would play most of them maxed out/near maxed out including things like Skyrim, racing games, MOBA's, CS:GO, MMO's, simulators, etc.

RIP in pepperonis m8s

does you case has a windowed panel? I wouldnt buy anything that doesnt have a backplate, aka EVGA. I recently got the G1 Gaming for Gigabyte, but I was looking at the Asus Strix as well. even Zotac Amp! and Extreme have a backplate.

they pretty much have the same performance, of course bigger the cooler, better the OC. but thats another debate.

may your framerates be high and your temperatures be low. #pcmr

gaming at 4K is epeen right now, also get the EVGA SSC. the heatpipe layout is more in line with Gigabyte windforce and arctic accelero coolers, but more compact.

To play games at 4K you can't use a single GTX 970. Unless its not a demanding game, its gonna lag like crazy.

i7-5820K | ASUS X99-A | Corsair DDR4 LPX 16 GB | MSI GTX 970 Gaming | Corsair 750D | WD Black 1 TB | MX100 256 GB | EVGA SuperNOVA 750 Watt | ASUS VG248QE | Corsair H105 | K70 MX blues non-RGB | M95 | H1500 | Windows 8.1 64-bit
