A friend asked me to help him with a build for $500 dollars. I tried putting together something, but i am not sure what would give the best performance for the price. He only needs a case and the needed parts inside that. He has everything else.

I was thinking something along the lines of a mAtx board with one of the new Athlons (760k perhaps?) or maybe an intel one (i3, G3258?) 8 GB of RAM, 1 TB HDD, R9 270, 400-500W PSU and some cheap case. Looked at the NZXT Source 210.

So, what are your thoughts?

That seems like a good build. I talked to him and he would prefer an HDD, for more space. So with a 1 TB HDD in there i guess it is good.
