I was wondering if getting a windowed version of really any Define case would impact the noise cancellation. My thought is this; You lose sound dampening where the window is and that could cause sound vibrations to travel through the window. Am I just silly thinking like this or is there a loss in silence between a windowed and non-windowed Define case?

The windowed version will be slightly louder, probably not enough to ruin your experiance though.

You're definitely not silly. Yes, some sound dampening will be lost due to the addition of a big plexi window instead of more acoustic foam.

Other way round. The one with the window will be louder, without would be quieter.

Even then, it's not by much. Being able to see the components is a worth while trade off for a little extra noise IMO.
