Always On

Hi everybody,

 

I have a very strange issue with my just new Asus Z97 Deluxe:

- after turning off the PC (no stand-by) the 3 video board fans (Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX770) don't stop and run at low speed forever.

- the PCIe audio card Creative X-Fi Titanium has the upper FX logo led on.

- the motherboard two digit Q-Code Led is on and shows the code "00" 

 

It seems as the mobo is not completely turned off.

 

Other HW present in the PC case are:

power supply Corsair AX760i 760W with USB control link

cpu 4770k

Corsair 4x8GB RAM 2400MHz

Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX770 video board

SSD 840 Evo 500 GB

Creative X-Fi Titanium PCIe audio board

 

all of these was used with no issue with a Gigabyte GA-Z87-UDH4 motherboard; I have just replaced only the GA-Z87 board with a new Asus Z97 Deluxe.

All the temperatures are OK and very low.

All FW Bios and SW drivers are updated.

 

The only way to stop the fans is switch off the power supply by its mechanical switch.

 

Any idea to solve this issue ? have I to wait for the next Bios update ?

Guys If you are buyin a brand new motherboard with new chipsets, or anything else that just came out... pls dont think it's gonna work 100%, there is always gona be some updates to fix somethig... always been like that and always gonna be... like every game and every piece of hardware or software... even if they test everything they can think of.. there is gonna be always some issue

beh .... z97 mobo are only relatively new ....  first bios is dated may 2014, the last one is the eighth in the list ....

Check what the [00] on the board post means in the manual or on there website.

A way to turn it off is to turn off the switch on the psu if it has one. If not go over to the wall and pull it out.
