Planning on swapping out your card for an AMD one? ;)

I'd just wait for pricing and availability. Even if someone quoted a US price, it's useless until someone finds out the EU price.

Linus mentioned it on the FreeSync CES 2015 video

Freesync will work with nvidia gpus. Maybe not officially but there have been modified drivers announced, which will support freesync.

Free sync will work with Nvidia GPUs right?

As of now, no it won't.

Interesting, I haven't heard about this. Can you give me a source/link?

Unfortunately i cannot. I know I read about it on reddit, but considering my history being immense about freesync on nvidia gpus, especially concering reddit posts, it would take ages for me to find the exact post.

Considering the newest NVIDIA cards don't have DisplayPort 1.2a ports let alone the GTX 680, I don't see how it's possible to use Adaptive-Sync with any current NVIDIA card even if they wanted to support it. They don't have the necessary DisplayPort controllers to use Adaptive-Sync.

Well G-Sync works, with DP 1.2 ;). I know that G-Sync is not the same as free-sync, but shouldnt theoretically free-sync also work on DP 1.2 (not 1.2a)?

No, G-SYNC doesn't use the DisplayPort standard, it's an NVIDIA proprietary solution. FreeSync uses DisplayPort protocols that weren't added until 1.2a.
