Those PClab benches won't mean jack to me...

They show similar results as this;

http--www.gamegpu.ru-images-stories-Test

http--www.gamegpu.ru-images-stories-Test

http--www.gamegpu.ru-images-stories-Test

I don't think the results are wrong tbh. Anyway, some games have nearly no difference. But some games, like these, have significant differences. And it just goes to show that a faster CPU, especially in SLI or CF, matters quite a bit. It's interesting though how you are suddenly back at 720p, when this was clearly a discussion about 1440p. I agree that 720p benchmarks make sense, but some benchmarks in context (1080p or 1440p) have their place aswell.

Looks like it...i had the intention to test a run in ACU and watchdogs tonight and see how it goes in regards to FPS at full GPU load...monitoring FPS with fraps and look at minimum and average FPS...if it's the case then i will have to start a new thread about this to inform that 99% GPU load does not mean that you are indeed getting full performance out of your system when it comes to gaming and i'll support this claim with proofs...thanks for bringing this idea to me.

np, I used to make the same mistake with my i5-760 until someone pointed this out to me aswell and I started doing some tests/research into the matter. Accepting that you can be wrong sometimes is quite liberating, it's a valuable lesson I learned that day.

for some reasons i always tought that results should look more something like this in a GPU bound scenario...maybe it's not the case when the game get's more CPU intensive i don't know...will study that more in dept tonight

Well, not to be ironic. But it's those benchmarks which make me highly suspicious...

I mean, a 1100T performing the same as a 4770K on a 290X? It almost seems like they were looking at a wall, or just completely fabricated the results. I think this has more to do with maximizing profit than it does providing accurate results. Many people will label them as one-sided or brand-favored and leave the site if they show benchmarks where Intel shreds AMD. Which it does. Not to be a giant dick, but Linus is guilty of this very crime. His "tests" are always inconclusive and he is very careful not to be brand-favored. He made a FX-6300 + 970 build. That about says it all.

At the very least those results are from single player.

yes but keep in mind the solo portion of BF4 is light on the CPU side of things so you'd quickly max out 290X with pretty much any quad core CPU IMHO...IDK

as i said i'll run test on my side and record the benchmark runs with shadowplay and fraps to get accurate minimum and average FPS readings and we'll see.

Then you go online and the 1100T tanks.

oh yes sure, no doubt about that...but an i5-4440 should not.

..and that's the point i'm going to test but i will substitute BF4 multiplayer which can't be accurately benchmarked with other demanding games in single player mode such as probably crysis3, watchdogs and ACU.

Hes an amazing fighter but his ego destroyed him literally. Hes very stupid to think he can go into the octagon with the best fighters and strongest people in the world and disrespect them like that LOL. Silva looked like a rodeo clown in that match dancing around like a retard mocking that tough wrestler dude. I hate to see a fighter get hurt but I kinda felt good that Silva got knocked down a few pegs and his reign is over LOL. Silva is such a cocky prick.

It does, relatively less than a 1100T though, because it's a much more competent CPU.

So TL;DR = CPU does matter a bunch in FPS? And my 4440 is even bottlenecking 1 290x at 1080/1440p?

Every CPU is a bottleneck, some just more than others.

Your i5-4440 is more of a bottleneck than say an overclocked i7.

TLDR; don't worry about it.

Yeah, I never said you should worry. The whole discussion started because you said the 4440 was in no way a limiting factor, which needed some nuance.
