Hi,

So this is my first build and I just have a few questions about the build.

Here is a list of parts from pcpartpicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4Tp8mG

So my biggest question is: I currently have a xfx r9 270x 4gb gpu (paid $215) but I'm really considering returning it for a GeForce GTX970. any thoughts or suggestions? I want to ideally get 40+ fps in any of the new high end games on high settings. I have a 26" 1920x1080 monitor. If i could I would definitely want to do some game streaming and maybe some video editing but nothing too heavy. But my main focus is League of Legends.

Also, I'm really interested in overclocking and I was wondering what it actually does, other than just ramp up the clock speed. I'm relatively new to computers and I would really like to know more about overclocking and the vast wonders that go along with it.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of settings do you get on high end games?

The main game that I run is Battlefield 4. Running at 1080P, I generally see FPS of around 80 to 100 on ultra settings.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.
