I've been going crazy trying to fix my stupid graphics cards. I have R9 290Xs in crossfire, and back when I had my FX-8350 they worked fine. But ever since I got my 4790K, I have had MAJOR artifacting. Here's the steps I've taken:

- Reinstalled the cards

- Reinstalled drivers (sooo many times)

- tried to use legacy drivers

- underclocked the cards

- put the bottom card on top and vice versa

- reinstalled windows 7

- reinstalled the cards again

Currently, the step I took was to install Windows 8.1 but here is my current problem

When I try to install the drivers, my screen goes black and it brings up the Gigabyte Ultra Durable logo and it restarts

My error code on my mobo is A0 (Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SOC) but that apparently is a HDD issue, but it boots up into windows fine.

THE REAL problem I think is that I have something called "IID LED" or "HD LED" (I cant tell what it says) and it flashes the whole time I use my computer.

please help

oh, and ever since I got my 4790K one of my lightnings has coil whine it seems

does it actually install the driver

Try to plug all 3 PCIE plugs in this time.

Do you think its the GPU or the motherboard? The gigabyte mobo restarts a lot and has been kinda weird, so idk

Do you still have the 8350 and AM3+ board to see if there's artifacting there?

HD LED indicates that something is reading or writing on it. Normally it should flash pretty much constantly. Mine does.
