Hi, I'm building a PC for the first time and I need to know if I set everything up correctly. I'm not sure how to check if the PSU will work with the motherboard or certain issues like that. I've been tinkering with the build for a bit and I would like any comments that could help me.

My budget is around 700$, I'm from the US and I've already bought the case(because it was 50$ dollars off on newegg).

Sorry for the font and size issues. Just copied and pasted it on.

I'm going to be using the PC for some light gaming every now and again but mainly for browsing and video streaming.

I do want to keep the CPU because of overclocking options and that sounds fun to me but I'm open minded about it.

It's 700$. I wrote it in the post.

Does that include the already purchased case?

I guess so. So that would make the budget $620. I'm trying to keep a pretty tight budget.

Would the system be for heavier gaming in the future or does it not need much of an upgrade path?

I highly doubt I'll be going into heavy gaming so I can go with a psu with less watts but I might put in a lower end GPU in the future. I'm definitely not going to do SLI or crossfire or anything like that. In other words, not much of an upgrade path.

Oh, and what do you mean by light gaming? --any examples?

Playing Arkham City every now and again or some random game like that when I feel like it lol. I'm not looking for 200 fps or something like that. Just enough so that I can actually play the game without it slowing to a crawl.

Ahh, that helps. Arkham City isn't exactly a light game.

Something like this would be better if it doesn't push the budget too much: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/y2sHbv

This is a really nice build but unfortunately you did miss the Windows 8.1 OS which is another 69.99. The psu and the monitor look good. I do want to get the g3258 and a 100 dollar z97 board but the rest looks great. The ssd is super cheap and I might upgrade to the GPU in a week or two if I can save enough money.

Is this z97 board okay for an overclock-able CPU?

Oh, my bad.

Any z97 board would be fine.
