You'll need a new mobo to get that 5930K. Not to mention, the 5930K is $600 on its own. If you have $800, maybe get two GTX 970's and put them in SLI or get a GTX 980 and more fans. The 2500K is a decent CPU.

Maybe just get a 2700K and a GTX 970.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

I don't like the idea of my gpu just sitting in the dust.

Any way to make crossfire work on it?

Then sell it on eBay or Craigslist when you're done with it, but you're not going to get a great experience X-firing an older GPU. A newer stronger single card is much more worth the money.
