forum bug?

When you click the community portal button at the top of the page you get this http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/49-community-portal/ and you don't have all the options of the main page http://linustechtips.com/main/. It's not a huge problem it just make navigation a little annoying and can easily be fixed by changing the community portal link to the main page.

Working as intended. Click the Linus Tech Tips link to the left to go back to the forum. Or the logo at the top as I do.

The Community Portal isn't the forum, it's just a part of it.

In future, forum bugs should be reported in the "bugs and issues" thread in the "Forum News and Info" subforum. The thread is also linked in my signature.

However, what you are experiencing is not a bug. The breadcrumbs work like this: "Linus Tech Tips" - The root of the forum, which is where you really want to go -> "Community Portal" - the section, which includes some of the subforums -> "General Discussion" - the subforum that this thread is in. To get back to the forum index, you can click "Linus Tech Tips" on the breadcrumbs, click "Forums" under the logo with the other sections, or click the LTT logo at the top of the page.
