My PC makes lots of noise. I have replaced the fans of my corsair h100i with corsair sp120mm fans. The noise level has not decreased significantly and I run them on the lowest rpm. My question is what can I do to make this noise decrease. Also, I am not sure whether it's the cooler thats making lots of noise or some other component. Quite frankly I can't tell no matter where I listen or what I do to the pc. I get the impression that my mobo make noise when I put my ear next to my pc. Is it the pump of the h100i? I am sure it isn't the graphics card for the record. My 1tb hdd also makes some type of buzzing noise when I put my ear next to it. So I am asking, what do you think is causing this noise based on what you've just read, if it is the cooler what should I do???

The H100i is a loud cooler. The Corsair "SP" series fans are a very loud lineup of fans.

If you want it to be quieter, get Noctua fans. They look bad, I know, but it'll perform much better than any Corsair fan, and be very quiet as well. Mobos don't make noises, so it should be the pump.

My build: tis be ordered

Youre HDD naturally makes noise because it is a mechanical drive.  As well for the pump try getting fan control software and changing it on the fly to see what changed in noise lvls as you lower or raise the speed of the fan or even the pump.  ( within my experience its the pump because mine makes alittle bit of noise as well.

Well for the fan, replacing them with the retail versions of the same fan would not do much. You would be better off going with a different brand that has quieter Static Pressure fans. There is also 2 types of sp120s, quiet and performance.

I have a h100i and I have to say it's not necessarily that quiet, but it's not that loud either.

If you say your hard drive is "buzzing," it could be one of two things: the hard drive is rattling slightly or it's just the platters rotating and the sound simply emitting from the drive enclosure.
