i have contacted someone via live chat during business hours.

 

they will ask you some questions then issue you a rma #. they will email you with instructions to send it back. you pay one way, they pay return.

 

the chip will only die with an excess of 1.8V

Accidentally punch in 1.9v instead of 1.3v, lets just say I've only got like 4hrs sleep in the last few days and I shouldn't have been overclocking.

Unless you have the Intel Overclocking protection plan, they aren't going to accept an RMA because you killed your CPU.

im pretty sure they do even if you damaged it yourself

ive heard storys of people getting a 760 in replace of their 660ti, and 280x insted of 7970 ect. because they dont have any old stock and its a replacement for a product that has been revamped

dam cpus are so much further ahead than gpus
