I'm looking for a laptop that can be used for school and of course gaming :). At first I was decided on a Lenovo, but they don't have any models with the gtx970m currently. I have only seen Asus, Msi, and sager offer the gtx 970/980 in their laptops. I know Lenovo has the reputation for build quality, but would it be better to get the newer generation gpu?

I haven't decided 15 vs 17 inch screen yet, but I do want it to have an SSD, backlit keyboard, and an Intel cpu. Price range is ~$1500 but I'll go over if I have to. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Pretty nice laptop for the price. It has a 970m, 16gb ram, however it does not have an ssd... Which I am sure you want. There may be a model w/ an ssd but I don't know.

I'm looking right now for ya

EDIT:

This one looks good.

I looked here after filtering based on your specs: http://bit.ly/1BN1uPg

This one looks pretty good. It has a lot of different configurations, too. It has a good variety of ports, USB3, LAN, Thunderbolt, HDMI and up to a 980M, 32GB RAM, an i7, and 512GB SSD and 1 TB HDD

Thanks for the input! This is a little picky, but the asus laptops are incredibly bulky, and while I'm not looking for super slim ultrabook size, I do want it to fit in my backpack (or desk haha). Otherwise those options are great

How do you guys feel about sager? More options to choose from and a bit cheaper, but ive never heard of them before
