Need some sort of noise gate software.

Voids

Okay so here is my process in bullet points

  • I make LP videos (dark souls currently)
  • I do live commentary
  • I record using Mirillis action.
  • I have the Subzero USB Mic.
  • I have a loudness mouse for clicks.

  • So I start to record and can hear mouse clicks very low, but still present.
  • Lowering volume is a double edged sword, yes removes the noticeable clicking, but voice is also drastically lower.
  • So what I need is some noise gate software that can run alongside my game capture software.

You can probably use some kind of audio filter on the program you use to render the videos.

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.6Ghz CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 GPU: GTX 1070 TI RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB (4x4) Mobo: ASUS Z97-PRO(Wi-Fi ac) PSU: Corsair RM Series RM750 Case: Fractal Design Define R4 no window

Doing that lowers the overall clarity of the voice stream.

I've thought about it and since a click sound is a short ticking noise, I don't think you can filter it out. I suppose you'll just have to get mouse that's quiet or use push to talk on your mic to just have no mic input at all during times your don't speak.

I got NoiseGator and Virtual audio cable software. The two work in tendon and allows for my voice only to be picked up.

Lower noise mouse, more directional mic, sound isolation between the mic and mouse, speak loud and lower the output via software so the mouse appears less loud.

If you don't want to fork out for active noise cancelation like on the asus, and creative addons, how about just finding the freq ranges that your mouse clicks register on, and blocking them?

Teamspeak can record, audacity is also free.

If you're wanting your video capture to still record Mic audio, that's a little more complicated but still possible. Let me know before I write a how-to
