Ultrabook Recommendations

chicksoup

Hello,

my father is looking for a new ultrabook since his Asus UX31A died a few weeks ago and he would need it within two weeks. So he sadly can't get a new one from CES. He wouldn't mind getting another Asus, but he has good experiences with HP Notebooks and he recently bought a Dell PC that he is happy with. The most important aspects are being lightweight and powerful for an ultrabook (i7 preferred).

He is willing to spend 1500$

Thanks, please add your personal experience if you have one

I gotta agree, the new Dell XPS13 is pretty much sex.

Though I'd really want to see some actual battery life numbers before diving in.

There's also the Samsung Series 9, they're quite solid units and if you go for the 13" model you get a nice PLS display.
