Recently my parents upgraded our internet to AT&T 40MBS internet package. Before everything was working fine on the internet it was just slow if somebody would try and watch netflix it would make everybody on the internet lag badly, so they upgraded. Since then everything works fine on the internet EXCEPT my computer and i have a feeling the guy that came out to our house throttled my computer, while talking with my parents he mentioned something about my computer using more internet than any other device in the house, which is very possible i use the computer to download movies, game, do schoolwork and basically everything else....the lag is very inconsistent and random and is most notable while i am gaming. I will be playing a CSGO match fine with 50 ping and suddenly spike to 500+ ping for the rest of the entire match sometimes even hours on end, during these lag spikes it does not matter if everybody is on the internet or if it is just me on it they still happen. Restarting my internet etc.. all doesnt help and i am not sure what else to do. I am on WIFI using a NETGEAR A6200 wireless adapter which i have made sure the drivers are up to date for.

My rig: Case: Corsair 760T CPU: Intel 4690k MOBO: MSI Z79 Gaming 5 RaM: 16gb HyperX SSD: 256gb Samsung pro HDD: 1tb Toshiba PSU: Thermaltake smart 750 GPU: 1x GTX 1080 Founders edition
