So. I was just sitting here looking through the forums, and watching Netflix on my other screen, and something kind of weird happened.

Everything on my primary screen, which is an Asus VE284H 24" monitor, using the DVI cable that came with it, disappeared, and the screen was displaying only what I can describe as "snow", like when you turn on an old school TV without any sort of input. This lasted for about 5 seconds, before everything then went back to normal, and seems normal for the moment.

My secondary monitor, which is running off of a DVI to RGB connection, continued to operate normally when this happened. The primary monitor is running off of my Asus GTX 970 Strix, with the secondary running off of an old EVGA GT 520.

This has never happened before, and I am now extremely worried. What could cause this sort of....error I guess?

This happens to my Korean monitor sometimes. I just turn it off and back on and the problem is resolved. I think it's happened twice in 2 years of having it.

Crossing my fingers hoping it doesn't just crap out some time soon.

Possibly the DVI port is becoming faulty. I had my old Samsung happen to me and I thought the whole monitor was fried but it turned out to be the DVI port.

A loose cable I guess.

Tried wiggling the cable, nothing happened.

I wasn't really doing anything when it happened. Just moving my mouse to click on a topic.
