So i've got the opportunity to switch to Sprint, they will cut my phone bill in half and give me a phone for free, my only question is, how is their service? Responses are greatly appreciated.

It really depends on your area. Where I live, coverage is pretty decent and I get mostly 4G LTE but there is plenty of 3G. Its about on par with At&t and much better than T-Mobile for comparrison. The speeds though can be pretty suckish. Yesterday when I was benchmarking I was seeing speeds of 6mbps down and 1.5mbps up on LTE. This is sad to see, but I have gotten 15+/9+ speeds too, so its not all bad (again, depends on the area). As far as customer service goes, I havent had to deal with that so I have no comment. Overall I would say its not bad, but its not that great either. The data reliability is nice (especially since T-Mobile is only 2G for most of my area), but the data speeds can be pretty bad (especially on 3G). If you can, try out Sprint before you commit(buy a cheap Boost phone or something), because the data speeds might bother you and it will be good to "check" the coverage (Since the map on their website isn't entirely accurate, lol).

Where I am (which is a suburb outside a medium-small sized city) I get decent coverage. It's mostly 3G but it gets the job done for when I want to web browse or go on a forum. When I do get LTE it's even better though and it does happen. I can say though that many times when traveling I get little to no coverage at all, but as soon as I'm near a city again it shoots right back up.
