Hi.

So I want to put together a custom gaming computer. This will mainly be used for games such as LoL, WoW, Minecraft, CSGO, Gmod etc, however, I want to be able to run intensive games as well (in case I want to play them in the future). How will this computer perform? Are there any changes I can make? Thanks for you help in advance!

NOTE: The prices are AUD

EDIT: I have done a fair bit of research, but I have never built a computer before :)

This probably isn't as fancy and good looking, but gives much more performance

I would choose more beautiful RAM, but other than that it looks fine

Good luck with the temps without an aftermarket cooler :P
That 290 will burn the CPU and the PSU will suffer if he do any benchmarks.
It should perform better if it won't throttle.

Hmmm, could be an option. I liked the features of the Enthoo Pro though... I was told the r9 290 is only really built for 4k, and it shouldn't be used for 1080?

What? The 290 has an aftermarket cooler, and an excellent one at that? Are you serious, you are wrong there my friend, do some research

not really, the 290 is really a 1440p card that will max a lot of games at 1080p. My brother has one and absoulutely loves it and the temps he gets are completely fine.

I wasn't talking about the GPU. I was talking about the CPU. The 290 will produce enough heat and that heat will go at the top (at the CPU) The 290 will be fine, but the 8350 will overheat.

Not necessarily, and even if it did a 212x is like $40. I'm pretty sure it's tolerable to have a crappy stock fan for at most a couple weeks to come up with that money

What 'beautiful' RAM would you suggest?

awww no budget for ssd, I can't live without one

I was considering one, but i would have rather put the money into the GPU. Hey, if I have never used one, I don't know the difference. Plus... I think i can pick on up later down the track?
