so im thinking about buying the corsair m65 and forget my razer deathadder. so the back and forward button on the razer deathadder work as normal buttons when you dont hav the drivers installed, will the sniper button on the corsair m65 work without the drivers installed as maybe a function button?

Not sure, I do have the mouse which is a great mouse overall, though I didn't play around with it without the drivers installed much.

I'd guess that it would work.

It defaults to "sniper" mode which is a DPI switch. This is what it comes with out of the box, yes. You can change it in their software but it seems unnecessary as that's the best use for that button as far as I am concerned.

Yes, it will work. However I don't understand why you wouldn't install the drivers. It's not like it takes long :P

Yea, just get the driver. There is no reason why you shouldn't since it won't take up like 20 gigs. lol

Maybe he uses some version of Linux or something like that.

i dont like installing drives cause it affects the speed of the mouse. the deathadder completely changes wehn i have the drivers compared to when i dont

Sounds like an issue with your settings, not the drivers. Anyway, back and forward buttons are supported by most modern operating systems but anything more requires a driver. Of course if the mouse itself can store settings the default button function will work without a driver but it cannot be rebind in games as software cannot detect it.
