i'm soon going to order the remainder of the parts for my new computer and i'm thinking of using the 1tb hdd that i have my steam games on from my Acer Predator and putting it in my new computer.

its going to be a new windows installation on an SSD... can i just install steam on the new computer and have it detect the old steam directory on the old hard drive?

also when i get the new OS on it do you have any tips to some "all in one" installers for essential programs like gimp, chrome, steam etc?

https://ninite.com/ found this and https://ninite.com/lifehacker this. is it good? or are there others with even more choice?

any help is greatly appreciated as this is the 1st PC i build.

one more question: i'm using a G550M Coolermaster power supply and the PCI power on it has 2x 6+2 on one cable, what should i plug in the rightmost socket on the card or does it not matter? (i mean like the 1st in the line into the rightmost)

again, thanks so much for any feedback/help

Sincerely: a half Canadian :)

Ninite is good.

Does not matter which cable part you plug in.

Both of the cables are exactly the same. Just make sure you have the clip side latched onto the lip. That indicates the proper side - if it's the wrong way, it simply won't fit. If it doesn't fit, do not force it. Double check you're plugging it in the right way.
