No consoles have their market share, they loose money for each unit sold.That can't be beaten at the moment but who knows what the future holds.

No, because for $1500, I could just build my own Desktop and connect it to my TV.

 

Besides that fact, nothing is going to kill consoles simply because of their ease of use.

Exactly. In reality the small form factor is not always necessary and I feel it seems to be overrated. Nothing wrong with a desktop next to a TV cabinet especially if you make it look nice.

You don't even really need to have it visible. At all. 

 

And honestly, I think that's the biggest issue with all of these Steamboxes and whatnot. They're all trying to be that strange black box that plays videos games while sat under the TV... and they're missing the entire point that... THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE!

 

If you want a small form-factor PC... cram some parts into an MATX case and stick it next to your subwoofer. Nobody is going to notice it, and you don't have to pay out the ass for some slightly smaller box with some small company you've never heard of vomiting their logo all over it.

 

Oh, and if I really wanted to get mean... this thing is never going to beat consoles simply because they decided to call themselves "SYBER"... what is this, a gaming console thought up by the writers of some 90s Sitcom?
