ili199

(Sorry if this post is in the wrong sub forum I don't really know were to post stuff about laptops)

The MSI GT80 Titan SLI gaming notebook looks like a pritty good mobile lan laptop.

It packs the power and you do get that mechanical keyboard

Neweggs overview:

Specs

  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M SLI 16 GB
  • Intel Core i7 4980HQ (2.80GHz)
  • 24GB Memory 1TB HDD 256 GB (128 GB M.2SATA x 2 RAID 0) SSD

I'd still rather have a membrane keyboard over this. Mechanical on a laptop seems gimmicky.

Well I gotta give them points for originality.

Honestly, I like this device, I really don't get bothered by the weight.  I mean really, if you are so weak you cannot carry a 10 pd laptop, you should go lift.  I won't buy one, the price is insane (but expected).  I wonder what the battery life is like?

Someone said this is $3300? Jesus. Let me go on pcpartpicker with that budget and make a computer that will blow this thing away.

Will you be able to use said rig on the go? No.

I'd gladly haul around a powerhouse rig as opposed to buying a $3300 laptop.

Edit: If I can carry a hulking 17" laptop around I could certainly go the full length and carry around a tower. At least in my opinion.
